Mike Williams, President and Chief Operating Officer

 

After nearly 20 years in the logistics industry, Mike founded AAGEX Freight Group, LLC in 2016 to continue his career dedicated to helping freight transportation and logistics entrepreneurs achieve their greatest success through service excellence. Mike brings critical thinking leadership and a relentless pursuit of business growth and expansion with “best solution” engineering, proactive risk administration, and customer experience excellence. His past roles include chief operating officer, general counsel, president and chief executive officer at several logistics and trucking companies ranging in size from $30 – $400 million gross sales revenue. Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida (Tampa), his graduate degrees from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Lansing, MI) and the University of Florida (Gainesville), and received a Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) from the University of North Florida (Jacksonville). He is a member of the Transportation and Logistics Council, Transportation Lawyers Association, the American Society for Transportation and Logistics, and the Transportation Club of Jacksonville. Mike is also a co-founder of Children’s Safe Passage, a non-profit organization, which seeks to protect children from predatory violence.

Rebecca M. Ebbecke, Chief Financial Officer

 

Rebecca’s extensive background in finance, business administration, operations and law, brings significant corporate finance expertise to the AAGEX leadership team. Her previous positions include Director of Finance with a national marketing company, CFO for a multi-company international conglomerate, including Clear Channel and Televisa, where as an Executive Committee member, Rebecca was an integral part of managing the diligence process in the sale of the business to a multi-billion dollar strategic buyer.

In addition to her finance experience and credentials, Rebecca is also an attorney. As a regular on the Dean’s List in both college and law school, she earned summa cum laude honors for each degree, and a position as a Federal Judicial Clerk, and Faculty Teaching Fellow.

Among her recognitions, Ms. Ebbecke received the Colorado Society of CPA’s Gold Key Award, and was named the American Society of Women Accountants Top Woman Accounting Graduate.

Jon Bramlett, Vice President – Operations

 

Jon is an operations specialist and brings a wealth of experience to the AAGEX Freight Group leadership team. In his role with AAGEX, Jon is responsible for developing and executing the company’s truckload operations strategy, and supporting our network of talented sales professionals. Jon’s impressive 18 year career in freight transportation and logistics began with a small Jacksonville based company and includes progressively advancing positions of responsibility and operations at mega size organizations. From 1998-2006, Jon advanced through freight coordinator, branch manager, and operations manager positions with Stonier Transportation Group, earning accolades for his commitment to service quality excellence. From 2006-2009, Jon was Transportation Manager at NYK Logistics where he led a high performing truckload and intermodal services team. From 2010-2016, Jon held operations positions within the Crowley organization, Manager of Brokerage Services, Manager of Intermodal Carrier Team, and General Manager of Customized Trucking. Jon received his B.S degree from West Georgia College.

James Bagwell, Senior Vice President Sales

 

James joined AAGEX Freight Group, LLC in February 2017 as Senior Vice President of Sales. He has worked in the transportation and logistics industry for over 24 years. Throughout his tenure, he has held leadership roles such as National Sales Executive, Executive Vice President of Business Development, and Executive Vice President of Sales. His experience includes transportation management and freight movement within asset based trucking, brokerage, LTL, intermodal, and yard management, representing companies such as NYK Logistics and Conway Freight. James earned his degree from the College of Charleston. Outside of work, James is an avid fisherman and is a USCG licensed captain.

Kim Watson, Director of Business Services & Human Resources

 

Kim has over 11 years of experience in the freight transportation and logistics industry, and has developed a passion for working with spirited independent freight agents, and assisting their business growth and professional development.  Throughout her impressive career, she has gained expertise in key back-office support functions, including carrier relations, freight claims administration, accounts collections and finance.  In her role as Director of Business Services & Human Resources, Kim leads the administration and staffing of our platform as an industry leader, and maintains responsibility for the seamless integration with our network.

Kim is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky, and earned her Certificate in Transportation & Logistics from the University of North Florida in 2012.

Bill Sandberg, Vice President – Technology

 

As Vice President of Technology, Bill’s primary objective is to ensure that the infrastructure and technology platforms utilized and provided by AAGEX are second-to-none. Bill’s experience includes roles as chief information officer, executive vice president, and board of director’s member for several multi-million dollar private equity, 3PL and trucking companies such as Rising Sun Systems and NYK Logistics (now Yusen Logistics).  Some of his accomplishments include creating cloud infrastructure, maintaining budgetary responsibilities, and performing key consulting that helped these companies grow up to 50% in average annual growth.  Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Mathematics from the University of North Florida in 1991.  In his spare time, Bill loves spending time with his family and is an avid supporter of youth leadership development programs such as the Boy Scouts of America.

Mark Weiss, Senior Vice President – Network Development and Brokerage Operations 

 

Mark is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of sales and operations experience in the transportation and logistics industry. He was a founder at Sunteck Transport Co., Inc., for years considered a leading freight agent network, and an integral strategist during its growth from a startup to gross sales revenues of nearly $400 million. Since 2016, Mark has worked as an independent consultant representing variety of logistics companies. Mark offers a unique perspective from his own early experience as a freight agent, and then as a corporate executive, which gives him a true appreciation for the freight agent entrepreneur. He brings an invaluable expertise in building and maintaining successful freight agent networks.
