National Account Sales Rep

AGX Freight | Jacksonville, Florida

Job summary: Our National Account Sales Reps (“NASR”) are responsible for generating new sales leads, growing existing customer relationships and closing new business. Must have experience, knowledge, and competency pricing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts with timely price adjustments, and timely building loads within a TMS system.

  • NASRs work directly with the AGX Freight Central Capacity Operations Team to support timely communication with customers, shippers, and receivers to ensure all loads are picked-up and delivered according to the customer’s specifications. NASRs spearhead all customer issue resolution events with direct support from the AGX Freight Central Capacity Operations Management Team.

    National Account Sales Reps are compensated with a competitive Base Salary and an opportunity to earn variable or incentive compensation for achieving established sales growth metrics. Group Health, PTO, and 401(k) benefits are offered to all eligible employees.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    1. Lead prospecting and generation.

    2. Account management of existing and new customer business.

    3. Must have a working understanding of how to utilize technology to properly price loads/lanes.

    4. Must enter complete and thorough information on every load within the system before moving it on to operations.

    5. Must conduct proactive communication at all times.

    6. Communicate effectively with operation team and management.

    Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

    1. 5+ years’ transportation experience preferred.

    2. Strong communication and organizational skills.

    3. Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.

    4. Conduct pricing, rate negotiations and manage RFP’s

    5. Strong leadership qualities.

    6. Strong Customer base with strong relationships.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $45,000.00 per year

Sales Associate

Carrier Sales Representative

AGX Freight | Jacksonville, Florida

Job summary: The Carrier Sales Representative is primarily responsible for using the tools and resources provided by the Company to source / select motor truck equipment and other transport vendors to “cover” freight shipments for the Company’s Account Managers and Sales Representatives and the Company’s customers.

  • Successful Carrier Sales Representative candidates have the ability to work in a fast-paced, “positive energy” work space where winning matters.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    1. Actively search the capacity market to identify eligible motor carriers to add to the AGX Freight network and further develop strong relationships with top performers.

    2. Communicate service level requirements (including pick-up and delivery locations, appointments, and equipment type(s)) and negotiate rate(s) with motor carriers using market rating tools and communicate service level requirements, including technology systems, and personal experience.

    3. Provide track & trace support for shipments in transit.

    4. Communicate scheduled pick-up and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers.

    Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:

    1. Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).

    2. Strong customer service orientation and work ethic.

    3. Ability to quickly process information and make decisions.

    4. Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills including issue resolution.

    5. General computer skills-proficiency with MS Office products.

    6. Self-motivated, energetic team player.

    7. Attention to detail with strong analytical ability.

    8. Enthusiasm, persistence, and confidence.
